Test d’Evaluation de Français pour le Canada

About TEF

The TEF Canada is a standardized and graded French language test that is mandatory for economic immigration programs that require proof of language skills. For people seeking Canadian citizenship, it is also proves one’s French language proficiency level.

All candidates receive a digital certificate of their French level (from A1 to C2) within 5-7 days of the test date.

Since January 2021, the TEF Canada is no longer taken on paper, but instead in a computer format. (Note: exams are still taken on-site.) Our computers have QWERTY keyboards with a built-in accent keyboard on the screen.

There is a maximum of 6 people per exam.
